Infrared light at 630nm to 850nm wavelength has the longest waves of our LED system and can penetrate the skin and reach the inner tissues of the body. Once the infrared light has reached the inner tissue, it begins to warm the body and increase blood flow to the various tissues. By increasing blood flow, the body can decrease healing time and reduce inflammation which aids in pain relief. A positive side effect of red LED light is increased collagen in the skin which offers a more youthful appearance. It has been successfully used to aid in hair regrowth as well.
Life on Earth requires light to live, survive and thrive. Just like plants, humans are also photo-reactive beings, meaning that when sunlight reaches our skin, it triggers a myriad of necessary processes in our bodies. The right amount of sunlight can protect the body from inflammation, lower high blood pressure, improve brain function. In short, sunlight is a key nutrient for overall health.
Exposure to sunlight during the day is crucial to well-being. It is recommended to get at least 10 to 15 minutes of sunlight daily. However, due to our modern lifestyle most of us are light deficient. We spend most of our days indoors under far from ideal light, and when we do go out in the sun, we end up being out too long to the point of skin damage. It is important to obtain the right amount of light to maintain our bodies working optimally.
"Increases muscle performance, treats muscle and joints, and increases blood flow — making more oxygen available. It allows athletes to push their limits."
Replicates the beneficial therapeutically proven wavelengths of sunlight. By using Light Emitting Diodes, (LED), LLLT full body treatment delivers light directly to the skin, where it gets absorbed and used by the body in the area of application. LLLT triggers a long list of benefits one of them being the release of nitric oxide from red and near infrared light. This helps improve blood flow and reduce inflammation in the target area. There are specific wavelengths of light that have proven benefits and we have incorporated them into our proprietary equipment.
Speeds the healing of wounds and injuries, improves and restores range of motion, reduces inflammation and pain, and triggers the release of nitric oxide, the body’s vasodilator.
Penetrates the body deeper than red, reaching deep into soft tissues, muscles, joints, tendons, teeth, gums and ultimately the bones. Infrared Light also triggers the release of nitric oxide, the body’s vasodilator.
Since 1996 researchers have shown that the cellular benefits of localized red and near infrared LED Light Therapy cascade down into the tissues organs and systems providing a preventive and restorative effect. Why not apply this to the entire body or specific areas of the body that need it most?
LED’s deliver light to the tissues and cells of the body in a similar way to how plants absorb light energy from the sun utilizing UV-Free, beneficial light rays. These rays energize cells and stimulate the body’s natural processes that build new proteins and regenerate cells. They also stimulate mitochondrial action and can offer relief from pain, inflammation, increase blood circulation, improve healing time, and cause lipolysis in fat cells for a natural alternative to liposuction.
The evidence is overwhelming.LED light therapy helps people FEEL, THINK, LOOK and PERFORM better.
All the research mentioned is based on studies posted on the NIH PubMed website. The purpose of highlighting these studies is to eliminate manufacturer skewed claims and biases.
The cellular benefits include these key activities:
People who are more active and able to exercise - Live Longer!
People Who Get Out of Pain...Get More Done!
People Who Get Out of Pain Have a More Positive Outlook on Life and are Happier.
NASA had that same question in the early 1990s and got to work. After finding that red light therapy activated natural plant growth in space, they started researching medical applications for people. NASA’s findings demonstrated health benefits from specific wavelengths of red light delivered through light emitting diodes and lasers – within the right spectrum wavelength.
The medical science community took notice and over the last 3 decades, there’s been extensive clinical research on the various medical applications of red light therapy from red lasers to LED lights. The results are extremely encouraging for people seeking natural, non-invasive treatments for a wide range of medical conditions including but not limited to:
• Acute Pain & Inflammation
• Chronic Pain Syndromes
• Neck and Back Pain
• Headaches & TMD – TMJ
• Rotator Cuff/Frozen Shoulder/Bursitis
• Elbow & Carpal Tunnel
• Knee Pain
• Foot Pain & Ankle Sprains
• Plantar Fasciitis
• Disc Injuries
Here’s the short answer: yes, light therapy definitely works, and it’s backed by a wealth of published research.
Nevada Laser Pain Relief strives to help people live more active healthier lives through pain management and alternative methods that do not use drugs, surgery or have side effects.
