James grew up in Mineral Wells, Texas where he immersed himself in Martial Arts, igniting his passion for lifelong health and fitness. He was a coach and mentor for students of all ages and athletic abilities. He attended school at Tarrant County Junior College, in Fort Woth, then continued his studies at the University of Texas at Arlington.

After joining the corporate world excelling in business marketing, management and sales, James moved to Reno for the beautiful outdoor summer and winter life. In 2013, he became suddenly ill, placing him in the hospital ICU for 11 days, where he was told he would, “leave in a body bag.” Not one to be discouraged, he left the hospital…not in a body bag… but with many of the side effects that prescribed medication can bring. The medications that were prescribed caused degeneration in James’ tendons and ligaments which resulted in chronic pain, immobility, and weakness.

One of James’ business clients at that time specialized in Laser Therapy, so he thought he would, “try it,” although, being a skeptic, he did not have high expectations. Astonishingly, his pain was reduced by 75%, his mobility increased so he could focus on strength training again. With the pain being 95% diminished, he set about trying to understand how lasers worked, why they were not used more often and how he could bring this gift to others.

He went back to learning…James traveled the country consulting, training and completing certification requirements from the foremost doctors and pioneers of photo biomodulation while learning about other energy healing modalities such as PEMF, Shockwave, oxygen therapy and the benefits of thermal imaging. He is known around town as the “Laser Man,” a nickname he wears proudly, However, he will remind you, “I do not diagnose, I treat pain.”
